From Grimm Audio
The MP1 replaces a tube microphone's stock power supply with discrete shunt regulators in both the anode and filament circuits. Anode supply noise reaches -100 dBV, roughly 20 dB below conventional supplies, and the shunt design eliminates electrolytics. Voltages are factory pre-set to match the customer's microphone.
