From Hegel

The V10 uses a discrete JFET transistor input stage designed for ultra-low noise. It handles both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges with adjustable gain settings.

MM gain runs from 40dB to 52dB on XLR output. MC gain covers 60dB to 72dB. Both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs are available.

Hegel built the V10 with the same discrete transistor approach used in its amplifier line, applied to the specific demands of phono signal amplification.
