Eight KT170 tubes drive each Jubilee Mono Ultimate monoblock to 440W at 4 ohms, succeeding the Jubilee Mono SE's eight KT120 tubes and 400W output. The amplifier uses four separate transformers: an oversized output transformer, a dedicated heater transformer, and a double line transformer system for the power section.
The output transformer's speaker windings cover roughly 50% more surface area than a conventional design, using a specialized wrapping technique to counter the skin effect that normally degrades high-frequency performance. Combined with a redesigned driver stage focused on precise phase alignment, this extends the amplifier's power bandwidth to 10Hz through 100kHz.
RCA and XLR inputs are both selectable, with a 2-stage Low/High power preselection and separate BIAS adjustment for each of the eight output tubes. As the flagship of Octave's power amplifier range, it's built for loudspeakers that need substantial power reserves and extended bass response without a rise in distortion.
