Octave ships the V 110 SE with two extra input tubes beyond the factory-installed MED setting, each carrying different gain characteristics that shift the amplifier's damping factor when swapped in. HIGH suits electrostatic or dipole speakers with a dip in mid-high impedance, LOW works better with high-efficiency horn designs, and MED, the default, handles speakers with large midrange domes and a rising impedance curve.
The amplifier runs four KT88-S4A-Carbon tubes standard, with KT120 TS or KT150 TS available as options. Output power reaches 110W RMS at 4 ohms in High mode and 70W RMS in Low mode, across a 20Hz to 70kHz frequency response measured at 90W.
Six line-level RCA inputs (one bypass, one phono-capable with the optional MC or MM board) join a single XLR input, feeding a regulated preamp output, record output, and speaker terminals. Eco Mode, HT Bypass, and a connection for the Black Box or Super Black Box power supply extension carry over from the rest of the Octave all-in-one amplifier range.
