Bob Sattin founded Bob's Devices in 2005 to solve one problem well: getting the tiny signal from a moving coil cartridge up to phono stage level. His step-up transformers, including the SKY 10 and SKY 40, are hand-wired point to point with no circuit boards, and each unit gets tested before it ships. The shop is in Albuquerque, New Mexico, an hour down I-25 from Santa Fe. A good step-up is the cheapest big upgrade in analog playback. If you spin records on a moving coil, you'll want to hear one.
