Cambridge Audio has built hi-fi in London since 1968, when its first product, the P40 amplifier, arrived the same year as Hey Jude. Today the company tunes everything by ear at its Southwark headquarters, from Evo streaming amplifiers to Alva turntables and CX separates, and runs the Melomania Venue, a live music room in SE1. Its StreamMagic platform handles the streaming. The goal hasn't moved in nearly 6 decades: pure, unhyped sound that gets out of the music's way. British engineering, fair prices, gear built to last.
