Canton

Canton has made loudspeakers in Weilrod, a village in Germany's Taunus hills, since 1972. The name says it plainly: Latin cantare, to sing, plus the German Ton, sound. More than 50 years on, the company still develops and builds its drivers in Germany, pairing titanium and titanium-graphite cones with tuned bass reflex cabinets in lines like the Vento 100, Townus 90, and GLE 80. It shipped the GLS 50 subwoofer-satellite system back in 1979. It's German precision with real warmth, at prices that stay sane.
