Esoteric

Esoteric is TEAC's high-end brand, launched in Tokyo in 1987 with a focus on disc playback. Its VRDS transport clamps a disc against a machined turntable to cancel vibration at the source, and the current VRDS-ATLAS mechanism anchors the flagship Grandioso players. The lineup adds amplifiers, network players, master clock generators, and in-house discrete DACs, plus SACD reissues of classic recordings on Esoteric's own label. Everything's machined and assembled in Japan. If you treat digital playback as precision engineering, this is the deep end.
