Daniel Weiss founded Weiss Engineering in 1985 near Zurich, Switzerland, after cutting his teeth at Studer, and his digital converters and mastering processors have shaped commercial records for decades. The Recording Academy gave him a Technical Grammy in 2021 for that work. The hi-fi line brings the same engineering home: the DAC501 and DAC502 add room EQ and vinyl emulation in DSP, and the flagship Helios tops the range. Everything's built in Switzerland.
