SCM40A is the active floorstanding version of ATC's Entry Series tower speaker, with amplification built into the cabinet.

From ATC
SCM40A keeps the Entry Series floorstanding format and adds ATC amplification in the speaker cabinet, so it can work from a line-level source or preamp. ATC's captured materials group it with the Entry Series and identify it as the active tower model alongside the passive SCM40.
