The DX-3 is a dedicated headphone amplifier and DAC. The ESS SABRE ES9028PRO handles conversion from PC-USB (32-bit/384kHz), coaxial, and optical inputs.
The amplifier section is fully balanced. Bluetooth adds wireless connectivity.
Rotel designed the DX-3 as a personal audio component: the desktop counterpart to its full-size separates.
