The TD 1500 is a suspended subchassis turntable descending from the 1965 TD 150 that pioneered the design.

The TD 150, introduced in 1965, was the first mass-produced turntable with a suspended subchassis and belt-driven inner platter. The TD 1500 continues that line.
The subchassis isolates the platter and tonearm from the plinth. The belt drive connects to a precision inner platter.
