Thorens

Hermann Thorens founded his workshop in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland in 1883, making music boxes before turning to phonographs and then the turntables that made the name famous. The TD 124 of 1957 still anchors collections worldwide. Since a 2018 relaunch the company's been run from Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, building direct-drive and belt-drive decks (including the TD 124 DD, a modern take on the classic) plus tonearms, cartridges, and phono stages. That's 143 years of records. Thorens gives your vinyl a deck with actual history behind it.
