Julian Vereker, a racing driver and self-taught engineer, founded Naim Audio in Salisbury, England in 1973 because the recordings he made of live bands sounded lifeless on the hi-fi of the day. His fix worked. The 1983 NAIT integrated amplifier became a British classic, and the company's obsession with power supplies still shapes every design. Naim has built Bentley's in-car audio since 2008 and merged with France's Focal in 2011. From the Mu-so wireless system to the Statement amplifiers, the aim's the same: pace, drive, and music that gets your foot tapping.
