Two workshops, one system
Focal has built loudspeakers in Saint-Étienne, France since 1979, and it still makes its signature parts there using beryllium inverted-dome tweeters and woven flax cones. Naim has built electronics in Salisbury, England since 1973, with an obsession over power supplies that shapes every design. Since 2011 they’ve shared an owner, and the engineering now runs both directions. French drivers and English amplification get designed and integrated in one harmonious process, so your amplifier is already perfectly calibrated for the speaker it’s driving.
Around the world, Focal Powered by Naim runs dedicated boutiques in which the 2 catalogs play as matched systems: private demo rooms, headphone bars, and spaces laid out like living rooms because that’s where your system will end up living. Some pieces exist only inside this partnership, like the Diva Alta Utopia wireless speaker and limited Focal Crafts finishes.
We keep that idea alive at Heartbeats & Headshells where matched Focal and Naim systems stay set up and playing in the shop, so you can hear the pairing the way it was engineered: together, in a real room, with your music.
Our take on the partnership
“Focal with Naim is the pairing I reach for when somebody asks me for a system that effortlessly works and sounds great right out of the box.”
The two houses

Loudspeakers from Saint-Étienne. Their own drivers, their own cabinets, their own beryllium tweeters, built in-house in France.

Electronics from Salisbury. Amplifiers, streamers, and power supplies with the pace and drive that made the name, built in England since 1973.
Heard together
The pairing makes its case in the listening room with something you love playing. Book a listening session, bring or request 3 records you know by heart, and stay as long as you need.
