Farad Azima founded Mission in Cambridge, England in 1977, and the Mission 770 that followed in 1978 put a polypropylene cone into a British monitor before almost anyone else. The company's habit of mounting the tweeter below the woofer, so sound from both arrives at your ear in step, still defines the look. Today's 770 and 700 are built in the UK again, with IAG's engineering muscle behind them. The speakers stay quick and honest at sane prices. That's been the Mission brief for nearly 50 years.
